Duration: 10 weeks, one session per week
Course Objectives/Curriculum:
- Read and write the Devanagari Script.
- Know and practice the proper pronunciation of Sanskrit.
- Understand and apply the Sandhi rules with vowels and Visarga.
- Feminine: ऊ nouns
- Neuter Nouns in: इ उ and ऋ
- Adjectives in: इ उ and ऋ
- Nouns ending in Consonants
- Potential (or Optative) Mood, वि धि ऌि ङ्
- Imperative and Potential of the Verb कृ to do
- Personal Pronouns
- Passive Voice, Active Voice
- Demonstrative Pronouns: इदम्and अदम्
- Translate simple to complex sentences from Sanskrit to English and English to Sanskrit
Grading Structure:
- No attendance
- 25% Lesson Assessments
- 25% Oral/Verbal Assessment
- 50% Written Final Exam (online, multiple choice, 48-hour turnaround)
