Course Objectives

Upon completion of this Course, students should be able to:

  1. Proficiently recite the Sandhyaa and Havan Mantras, focusing on the Mantras’ proper enunciation
    and recitation as studied in the Sandhyaa and Havan course.
  2. Explain the philosophy, psychology, and procedure of each segment of the Sandhyaa (e.g. Jala
    Sinchana, etc. ) and respective sections of the Havan sacrament (Eeshwar Stuti Praarthano’paasana,
    Swasti Vachanam, Shaanti Karanam, etc.).
  3. Proficiently recite and accurately perform the first four Sanskaaras – Garbhaa’dhaana, Punsavana,
    Seemantonnayana, Jaatakarma.
  4. Describe each of the first four Sanskaaras’ Philosophical significance, Psychological importance, and
    Procedural application.

Course Name: Sanskaar 200 - Vedic Sanskaars 5 to 9

Course Objectives

Upon completion of this Course, students should be able to:

  • Proficiently chant the Sandhyaa and Hawan Mantras, focusing on the Mantras’ proper enunciation and recitation as studied in the Sandhyaa and Hawan course.
  • Explain the philosophy, psychology, and procedure of each segment of the Sandhyaa (e.g. Jala Sinchana, etc.) and respective sections of the Hawan sacrament (Eeshwar Stuti Praarthano’paasana, Swasti Vachanam, Shaanti Karanam, etc.).
  • Proficiently chant and accurately perform Sanskaars 5-9 – Naamkarana, Nishkramana, Anna Praashana, Mundana and Karna-Vedha.
  • Describe the Philosophical significance, Psychological importance, and Procedural application for all five Sanskaars
    mentioned above.

Course Name: Sanskaar 300 - Vedic Sankaars 10 to 13

Course Objectives

Upon completion of this Course, students should be able to:

  2. Explain the philosophy, psychology, and procedure of each segment of the Sandhyaa (e.g. Jala Sinchana, etc.) and respective sections of the Hawan sacrament (Eeshwar Stuti Praarthano’paasana, Swasti Vachanam, Shaanti Karanam, etc.).
  3. Proficiently chant and accurately perform Sanskaars 10-13(b) – Upa-nayana,Vedaa’rambha, Samaa’vartana, Vaag Daan, and Haldwaan.
  4. Describe the Philosophical significance, Psychological importance, and Procedural application for all five Sanskaars mentioned above.

Course Name: Sanskaar 400 - Vedic Sanskaars 13 - 16

Course Objectives

Upon completion of this Course, students should be able to:

  1. Proficiently chant the Sandhyaa and Hawan Mantras, focusing on the Mantras’ proper enunciation and recitation as studied in the Sandhyaa and Hawan course.
  2. Explain the philosophy, psychology, and procedure of each segment of the Sandhyaa (e.g. Jala Sinchana, etc.) and respective sections of the Hawan sacrament (Eeshwar Stuti Praarthano’paasana, Swasti Vachanam, Shaanti Karanam, etc.).
  3. Proficiently chant and accurately perform Sanskaars 13-16 – Vivaaha, Vaana-prastha, Sannyaasa and Antyeshti.
  4. Describe the Philosophical significance, Psychological importance, and Procedural application for all sixteen Sanskaars studied so far.

Course Name: Sanskaar 500 - Vedic Karmas 1

Course Objectives: 

Upon completion of this Course, students should be able to:

  1. Proficiently chant the Sandhyaa and Hawan Mantras, focusing on the Mantras’ proper enunciation and recitation as studied in the Sandhyaa and Hawan Course.
  2. Explain the Philosophy, Psychology, and Procedure of each segment of the Sandhyaa (e.g. Jala Sinchana, etc.) and respective sections of the Hawan sacrament (Eeshwar Stuti Praarthano’paasana, Swasti Vachanam, Shaanti Karanam, etc.), and the sixteen Sanskaars already studied.
  3. Proficiently chant and accurately perform the Vedic Karmas 1, studied in this Course.
  4. Describe the Philosophical significance, Psychological importance, and Procedural application for Vedic Karmas 1 studied in this Course
